5 Ways to Integrate Video into Your Marketing

It's hard to close a sale when nobody knows who you are.

You reach out to a prospect and give them your best pitch. *Crickets*

There's a reason you aren't getting a response to your business development outreach, while other firms are getting a quick "Yes!" It's trust. It's easy to book a discovery call when you've already established trust with your prospect by showing up for them consistently, offering them value, and explaining how you can solve their problems.

Now, are you ready to start taking the first steps toward building trust with your audience?

How do you build trust with prospects using video?

You need to build familiarity and trust with prospects to get a response when you reach out, but that can be hard to do.

You need to be consistent, and you need to show how you can provide value. However, you may not have the time to produce videos regularly.

The thing is, you don't need to create tons of overproduced content. Informal live streams or Loom or Bonjoro videos can do the trick of building trust while not taking up a ton of your time.

Video is a core piece of my content marketing strategy. It only takes me a few hours a month, and it brings in fresh leads every time I go live. In fact, 100% of my leads are inbound.

Imagine how easy it will be to prospect when you've already established trust with your potential customers through videos.

How do I find the time to show up on video consistently?

A big part of your job is business development. How can you find the time to create videos between responding to LinkedIn messages, setting up meetings, and attending networking events?

It's easier than you think.

Make video creation a seamless part of your routine.

This article will show you five ways to show up on video that will only take a few minutes of your time.

Video builds trust, warms prospects, and makes it easier to score a meeting. So now is the time to get comfortable on camera.

You may not have the time to create highly polished videos, but you don't need to! Informal videos with little to no editing will earn you trust just as well as any other kind.

Here are five ways to integrate video into your marketing (without taking up more time than you can spend).

Five easy ways to integrate video into your marketing

  1. Social Media Live Stream. Live streams don't need to be complicated, and you don't need a streaming service for most platforms. For example, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn all have native live streaming capabilities. You just show up with no complicated tech required.

  2. Bonjoro. Send a quick, personalized video via your email using Bonjoro. Then, send it to your prospects, online community members, and subscribers to get face time with them and warm your relationships.

  3. Loom. Did you just complete a one-time project with a customer and hope to build that relationship? Send a Loom video that walks them through the project with added anecdotes to help them better understand what you did.

  4. Canva. If you want to add some polish to your video but don't want to spend a lot of time editing it or learning a new tool, try Canva. They have video-editing capabilities that are easy to use and help you create beautiful videos. Bonus: The premium subscription includes stock photos, video clips, and music that you can add to your videos.

  5. Personalized Video Greeting. Did someone on your LinkedIn Navigator list just accept your invitation? First, send them a quick, personal video greeting. Then, take that extra few minutes to greet them and explain why you're excited that they (specifically, only them) accepted your invite.

Why do I need to add video to my marketing?

Without video, your competitors are getting a leg up on you. In a Wyzowl survey, 78% of marketers said video has positively impacted their sales, and 84% said it had increased their leads.

By integrating video into your regular marketing, sales, and business development communications, you can avoid:

  • Ignored outreach messages

  • Prospects questioning your worth

  • The "Who are you?" question that no one enjoys
